Need you guys help A.S.A.P

Hey guys a fa'kin huge branch last nite fell on my car breaking the windsheild and putting a dent in the roof.. Also taking off my right side mirror. I just have basic minimal coverage so i dont think the insurance will cover it, other than the windshield (free in MA). How do i take the roof off the car? I have heard an evo 8 roof will fit with no mod?? I need some help here so i can fix this on my own. Thanks guys

Wow dude that SUCKS!!! Do you have a pic of where its dented and to what extent? I Imagine as soon as you pull out the the headliner it should be pretty apparent how it attaches.

pics of this thread is useless. an evo 8, you have basic insurance, they will not cover it.

If this happened in your driveway, the homeowners' insurance may cover the damage.

This did happen in my driveway, a massive branch came crashing onto the roof smashing the window and denting the roof. But i dont care if its covered i can get a new windshield for free, the right side mirror i can get for 40 new, i just want to make sure the roof is a part that can be replaced?? and if so can i use an evo8 roof, i would imagine i could find an evo one before i found a 2002 lancer oz rally one know what i mean? The dent is not that bad, in fact i may be able to pop it out, but incase i cant i might just want to get a new roof if there not that expensive! Yeah ill take a pic right now for u guys give em one sec.

The city should acctually cover the damage as the city does own the trees and you could blame poor maintaince issues led to your car being damaged.

That small dent should be easily poped out and repaired by any decent body shop IMO.
Sorry for your troubles but it could have been worse.

i have a similar dent and one shop said be 140 for that kind of fix cause of its prox to windsheild. it would have to be removed to prevent damage to the glass while thy fix the dent... also it cant be poped from underneath cause if you look and see theirs a steel/metal support bar that spans the whole front side of the roof. just remove the headliner and youll see the support bar

i was hoping to pop the dent from underneath but that wont work.. theirs realy no need to replace the whole roof unless theirs severe damage to the roofs structure that will hurt your safety. you have the same dent as i do on my 03 oz and its in same spot... it be cheaper and less waste of $$$ to have a body shop repair it than to cut the old one off and replace the whole roof with a new one

Oh ok, so u think if i took the headliner off and poped it out it would work? I dont car if it breaks the glass, the glass is getting replaced tomorrow at 1 PM, so do you think i can pop it out once the headliner is off, maybe save 140 bucks or so since the windshield is already cracked know what i mean?
