Unhappy Please help RRM turbo people

For all those guys with RRM turbo's... i just wanted to know when you got your kit... did the U shaped pipe that ran from the throttle body to the turbo manifold have little pin-sized holes?? because i just got it yesterday and i was inspecting the parts... and i noticed that there were little pin-sized holes only on the U-shaped pipe... and i was wondering if that is part of the design or if that is a defect... any input concerning those holes would be appreciated..

Don't have it, but thats a defect. You will lose boost and have a rich fuel condition.

you think a metal shop can fix it?? its just a small tiny pin-sized hole.. i'd hate to have to send it back to RRM and wait another week before starting install

Any metal shop could just heat it and apply a small patch, hell, could even be possible with duct tape (albeit I wouldn't recommend that).

A shop can take care of thet pretty easy with some spot welds. If your pipe is powder coated, it will ruin the finish though.

my philosophy on my car is, do it right the first time. i kno it's hella hard especially after you dropped all of that money, but you really should just send it back to rrm and get a replacement. you bought the kit from them and they stand behind their product. if it ruins a finish, or the fixit comes undone sometime down the line, you'll regret it. and honestly, i'm sure that a month from now you won't be saying "damnit, i wish i had installed my turbo one week earlier!! aRGAHEH!"

besides, rrm sending new part = free (maybe ship)
shop fixing part = not free.

in the end it's your decision.. just make sure you don't regret it

Man, that pic gives me a headache. FOCUS, MAN! FOCUS!

Is there a seam there or is that just my eyes? Just curious what could cause something like that besides a bad pipe to begin with.
