lash was right. we did that before we started it. no oilpressure build up needed for solid lifters

ok... so far this morning.. going down all my basses..

timing. is zero'd out.. so its right
spark plugs were not in that tight.
compression (L>R) 115/128/128/128


right two cyclinders 3 and 4 had oil on the spark plug. 1 and 2 were dry n normal looking

ok i give up. cant find anything obiousely wrong. must be the pistons or wrist pins just like on zulus motor..

car idled fine for hours.. 2nd or 3rd time in boost.. not even 20-30% throttle it started.. and hasnt stopped yet.

took it to my engine builder once already. he said it was just a failing rocker arm.. new rocker arm.. idled just fine.. 2nd tim ein boost same issue.. rockers hitting valve cover. not even wide open throttle...

even idles normal.. just nasty noise.
recorded it this time.. sounds even worse now. but still.. idles spot on 1200 no issues. even revs with no misfires or nothing... sounds nasty now. maybe its something underneith.. but bearings were all checked. all good. and rods were good.. didnt pull the pistons out.. so could be a piston or wrist pin issue.

and as a reminder.. the noise u can hear.. is the rockers hitting the valve cover.. i have nice U shape dents on the inside of the valve cover.

ls1 guys use a high rise vc when they have done valvetrain work . a higher vc is the only way i know to cure the problem with rocker arms hitting
