Hey guys thought I would start my own build thread here.
I picked up what I thought to be an evo but turned out to be something completely different.
Those of you may know I'm talking about the rwd lancer evo body build which died on here a while back.

Funny after I bought the car and took everything out of it to discover this was no evo didn't really know what I had or what I was going to do. I stumbled on a thread not long ago which I found to be the cars old build thread which answered many questions I had.
Its changed owners a few times in the past 6 months so seems like most didn't want to put in the money to finish it.
I got it for a heck of a deal so I'm excited to move forward.

I've been sick for the past few weeks and been working quite a bit. the car is on jack stands in the garage so I'll try to get pics up soon.

good to hear. hopefully u will do something productive with it.. if it was near me.. id pick it up for a good deal also

 

thanks for the support. had some time tonight so I pulled the rear end. going to get that sorted out.
looking for a big nissan rear diff and axles. haven't decided what I want but will probably end up taking whatever is available.

pretty well decided i'm going to remove the cage and see if I can get some parts in trade for it.
I dont foresee the car being a complete drift track machine. the lancer/evo chassis is just not setup right for drifting. may as well stick with a 240 or something tried test and true if you want to drift.

plus i'd like to be able to fit people in the rear seats. no can do with big metal bars back there.

I also scored some sick 3 piece jdm wheels which I will reveal at a later time. Just had fun dissembling them. going out for powdercoat and ordering some big lips for them.

anyone want a 10pt roll cage? looking to trade for interior and other misc parts.

-evo front calipers ss brake lines, rotors and pads
-complete dash (black)
-evo front and rear ssl door panels
-manual shifter console
-evo jdm ix rear bumper
-evo front subframe
-evo ix pedals/dead pedal in good shape
-evo brake booster
-mirage man rear disc brake conversion kit

 

arg.. ur going awd build... Lame.. 10.5 outlaw is where its at.

 

naw no awd.. still keeping rwd, just not going to build up the car into a full drift machine.
I want the rear seats and feel I could do without the roll cage.

 

ur not going to build a drift car? i said 10.5 outlaw.. which is drag racing..

get ur hands on a big fat rearend.. atleast make it look meaty!
