Mitsubishi Lancer Performance Chip 1995-2012 ECU Programmer HP Torque MPG

Hey,
First post here, sorry if this is the incorrect subforum.
Bought a Lancer ES '06 2.4L and just beginning modding it. I've never really had any dealings with performance chips. anybody had any experience with the chip named in my title? i.e.:

Mitsubishi Lancer Performance Chip 1995-2012 ECU Programmer HP Torque MPG

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Mitsubish...ht_3211wt_1095

Bought it of eBay for about $30 shipped. Claims to add up to 78 nm torque and ~30 kw which is alot more respectable than i thought possible.
Also, I am almost positive they are defects, but I can't find anything online, any ideas guys?

Thanks, any info, experiences, opinions etc. would be very helpful.
Cheers, Jason.

There are no chips that are $30 for a lancer that are going to do squat for your car. You should of taken that 30 and put it towards ecu flash or something.

I wouldn't be surprised if this ruins something. Be careful, i wouldn't use this.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I'm not too fussed as I sort of want to explore this thing. It, and all products similar, claim to have their own warranty, satisfaction guarantees and claim not to void cars warranty, which is sort of what won me over. Surely it would be worth a try? Unless anyone has had any seriously bad experiences with it, I may give it a go when it arrives.
Thanks again for the help.

warranty? ur in a 06.. what warranty do u have left?

and ur honestly worried about a warranty.. u must of not read the fine print on your warranty. modifing ur car does not void your warranty, just the componant that you replaced.. cuz your warranty basically doesnt cover anything that would possibly break unless you somehow got a lemon car, which dont really exsist unless its a first generation of a car and bugs haddent been worked out yet or figured out yet.

Are you not understanding? We are assuring you the "chip" isn't going to do anything. Look it up on YouTube, it's just a resistor in a box. If you insist on the claims of the product why ask? So it has its own warranty, satisfaction guaranteed, won't void your warranty, what's not to lose but your money or the money someone else had to work for?

Sorry everybody, I didn't understand what I was talking about and buying, I feel stupid now. About the warranty and stuff I was trying to justify my thinking when I bought it but I understand now that its a fake regardless. Thanks for not flaming and for your help.
