Hi all,

I want to custom built turbo for my car with 16g6 turbo. It will be slow and steady process.

I have read may threads have learnt a lot about it and thanks to the forum members for putting up how to's and all.

Also the guy mentioned that he blew the motor on which it was mounted, do you think the turbo would be intact?

 

I would ask some good questions about what happened to the engine and get a video of the shaft play of the turbo if possible. Depending on what he "blew" he could have thrown metal into the turbo.

 

Either metal could have went through the turbo, or the intense heat could have destroyed the bearings and seals on the turbo, its not motor that blows up but its the motors heat that causes it to blow

Thanks for the help guys. So all in all I should stay away from the Turbo. I being in India cannot judge things over pics.

So my search goes on again.. let me know if any one finds one good turbo.
