good or bad deal?

good or bad deal?

ok this guy around my area offered me a t4 turbo with intercooler and blow off valve for a grand, granted its all in good shape, is this a good deal or should i pass?

I'd recommend going with a smaller turbo. Assuming they're all in great shape it'd be a good deal, otherwise it'd pretty much on par with what you should pay for those parts used. If you can get the IC (assuming it fits) and bov for a good price, ****** them up and look for a more suitable turbo. If there's no tech discussion though I'm going to put this in USLG.

the guy had the turbo setup in a eagle talon, he said the intercooler is pretty big, im not sure if it would fit the lancer or not tho, i will ask him the size and post it tomarrow or something

thnx for the info on the T4 guys, still havent gotten able to talk to the guy about the size of the intercooler tho, when i do i will post size

where do you plan on getting the pipes for this setup if you bought it anyways. i would say you would have a better chance at going to a junk yard and finding parts that fit. im not 100% but i think the talon intercooler might be too big depending on how big it was on the talon.

I would also wonder about pressure drop due to a TOO LARGE intercooler....the lancer would already have a hard time spoolin the T4 and then with the large intercooler . Man thats gonna really hurt ya OUCH!
