I have a 2005 Lancer OZ Rally with a K&N Ram intake and a RRM Header. I am goin to get a custom downpipe made considering I can't find one anywhere except without having to buy another header with it and i'll get a high flow cat as well. Any advice on catbacks whether I should buy a whole catback or just the muffler. I am currently looking at a Magnaflow Muffler installed at $260. Also is there really a difference between the catback and just the muffler any kind of constrictions etc.. Im looking more to a deep quieter tone rather than a loud and really raspy.

 

Just save your money and boost it. You wont see any real gains. Read thru a few of the build threads. If your interested in boosting check out Motorsports Engineering in my signature. Chase (beautifulpunk) lives in Alabama too.

 

Well I read that on a 4g94 engine you will not see any real gains at all unless you turbo. IMO- it would be ridiculous to spend that much money on such tiny spec upgrades. So I am really just doing basic mods until I can afford an EVO. Also wouldn't it be a good idea to upgrade the exhaust before boosting?
