2013 Lancer ES Turbo HELP

Hey guys.

New to the forums. Need some help on the turbo kit I just installed on my car. Here are a list of parts that are currently installed.

850cc Evo X Injectors
Deutsche Works 65C Fuel Pump
Evo X Turbo
Megan Racing Evo X Exhaust Manifold
Megan Racing O2 Housing
Megan Racing Downpipe (Modified to fit)
Evo X FMIC + Piping + BOV
Custom Intake with EVO X MAF SENSOR
All Oil Return Lines, and Coolant lines are hooked up.

Car turns on, makes a loud rattling sound, but idle seems to be fine..

I do have the OpenPort ECU Tactrix Cable 2.0 to reflash the Evo X Rom to my ECU then taking it in to for a DYNO tune.

Anybody know what the rattle could be?

Only happens when I turn on the car and at idle, when I gas it I hear nothing.

I don't know anybody who's done this on the 2013 model but from what I heard it's all the same 2008+

I took it out for a spin without the ECU flash, the thing pulled like it had 50PSI but it goes into limp mode after 4000 RPM.

Dont call me dumb for doing it just makin sure the turbo was in working condition before I reflashed. >.<

Let me know if anyone has any input.

First flash it with Evo X ROM or you are risking to blow it.

Also stock Evo X injectors are 560 cc, did you installed something different?

Stock fuel pump is fine, aftermarket or Evo X pump is not needed.

Did you changed the MAP sensor?

Spark plugs?

Yeah I actually got larger injectors for free but I just ordered stock injectors.

Already changed MAP sensor to the Evo X one.. still hearing a clicking or sounds like something is washing like a dryer noise..

I am reflashing the stock evo x rom tonight..

spark plugs have not been changed, do they have to be? The car starts up perfectly fine.

start up is not going to be your issue, its when you get on it.

What do you mean by that? From my understanding if i reflash the evo x ecu it should be alright until i get a dyno tune?

Flashing Evo X ROM is just the beginning Stock X ROM will be only safe when driving off boost. Not to mention how silly was that thing which you did with your stock NA ROM.
Also you may not be able to flash Evo X ROM. A guy with 2011 Lancer tried and was not able to flash anything different than stock ROM.
So I'm curious whether you will be able.

Spark plugs need to be 1-2 steps colder.

You may post a video of this sound, will help us to guess what it is.

That's true for earlier models 2008 - 2010.
A guy with 2011 GTS was not able to start his car when X ROM is flashed to his ECU. He was getting errors while flashing with EcuFlash, also bench mode was not helpful.
His tuner said that newer models have additional security which prevents flashing different ROM than stock one.
After several days fighting he ended up with flashing his stock ROM and the car started.
This is his story, you will confirm or not whether this is true.

His thread - http://9glancers.com/index.php/topic,21515.315.html

Btw, plenty of information in Forced Induction section there.

Lix,

I successfully reflashed the 2013 gsr rom onto my car.

Now here are the trouble I am having for my car:

Car starts but 2 out of the 4 plugs do not get spark.

When you told me if i switched the MAP sensor, i thought you told me the MAF sensor, so the question is NO i did not switch the MAP sensor.

What is that and what does it do?

Do i Need to switch it and is that my problem?

What spark plugs do you recommend?

If you want that your car work, you need the evo x MAP sensor and stock spark plug are good for your setup.

So what your telling me is. I have everything correct, and 2 of my spark plugs are not getting spark because I need the MAP sensor?

I said, You need an Evo x MAP sensor and the stock Lancer spark plugs are fine to run a turbo setup.

From what I hear from rallinspired, for the 2013 model it will not run on the evo x rom.

You need to patch the original rom for it to accept a turbo. Said and done my car will be tuned by next week.

runs on the stock rom again.

How did this turn out? I have the RRM kit with the piggyback and the piggyback setup is not working too well for me so far. The kit itself is awesome, though.
