I think our pistons are actually decent, however our RODS are where these lancers shortfall... other than that do some more research! use google and "evolutionm.net" to search easier.

I believe our motors can handle more than most think.....I've been running stock internals for almost 2 years now boosting 12+ lbs.... If its built right and its tuned right, most of us here have had little issues with our motors other than normal wear and tear parts replacements.

I been running 15psi for 2 years on stock internals and I get on it a lot. I plan to build the motor or swap it out for the 4g64 in the next year or 2

If you have the right tune you won't need any internals upgrade if you engine is in good condition. Iv had 2 different lancers with over 180k km running 10-12 psi and iv never had any problems with the engine. Just make sure your engine is in a good condition before you start turboing (Do a compression test, leak test, etc) and have a safe tune and everything should be ok. Although if you're planning on going higher than 10-15 psi i would recommend the forged rods/pistons/head bolts to be safe.
