Twin turbo Lancer ?

Plan on saving up for a turbo once school ends. So i read a lot of forums on the turbo build forums. Luckily somone posted all the turbo forums for the 02 lancer. I decided to go with the greenbandits 16g turbo build.

My question is has anyone twin turbod their 2002-2003 lancer ?

Also I was going to go with the evo 8 16g turbo.
I was reading that would give me about 9 psi and each psi is +10hp which is 90 more ponies to my car .

If I were to upgrade the turbo to a different turbo charger such as a turbonetics turbocharger would that give me more psi ?

Actually, if you were to use an Evo setup. Turbo and wastegate. The psi would be a lot higher than that. You would have to run a different spring in the wastegate to run lower psi, Like the 7-10 that you should start with. Do a search on how wastegates work and you will get a better understanding on how a turbo setup works.

Okay I read up on the wastegate actuator, I learned I can change the spring to create more psi or you fool the actuator to open at higher air pressures.
How much psi are you running?
Also is twin turboing an option or no?

I'm running 15psi and the car feels pretty quick. I wouldn't really recommend any more than that without upgrading the rods and pistons. It's possible to twin turbo a 4 cyl, but I don't know anyone that did a lancer and it would probably be way more expensive than its worth.

Twin turbo-ing, is always, and will always be, a waste of time on a 4cyl. Spool time will be terrible, the piping and manifold setup will be nightmarish, and much money will be pissed down the drain.

It does pretty decent actually. I beat a cpl older bmws, older mustang gts. I can run pretty decent with my buddy's stock wrx. All in all I'm pretty happy. I thought about taking it to the track this year to see what it will run. Just got pulled over doing over 100 in a 55 over the wkend, so I'm down screwing around on the street for awhile

The only way I could see it beneficial is if you do a setup like BMW was able to do to get better fuel economy and decent power. Having a twin scroll system you would actually get less lag and be able to get more use out of the same amount of air. But it's expensive, I'd sooner have a bigger turbo and deal with the lag.

If he wanted to have fun with it and make it something different he could just do a turbo into a turbo setup. Again not much point but it would have a really cool look to it.

Why? I don't see the point at all. A single turbo is more than enough for a Lancer. It's not a Supra.

+1 you would be more than happy with a decent single turbo setup. I saw an old r32 witha twin ko4 turbo kit and it cost over $20k for the kit iirc. Not worth the money imo

And that sounds pretty good, I raced my friends e90 last week and got torched. He has 250 hp ! Stock . I want to compete with that so I need a lot of boost lol !
