Honestly i would turbo the stock motor first if i were you...the difference between stock and turbo is huge....i was at 220whp at 10 psi and the setup is reliable with the stock motor. Get your car in shape first and then u can start to modify it.

You'll be surprised with what 220whp feels like in a car that weighs 2750, plus you can only go up from there

Yea 120hp to the crank and 220whp is a HUGE difference you won't be disappointed i can guarantee you....just make sure you have good compression and no leaking valves or head gasket before you install everything. I made a thread with almost every threads on how to turbo your 4g94 so check it out it will help you a ton. If you ever need help you can pm me too i would be glad to answer your questions. Good luck

Being completely honest here, if you don't have the knowledge or time to google an engine compression test, you probably shouldn't be doing the work yourself.
You have four options here:

A) Save the money, build it yourself, make a ton of mistakes and cost you more money than you originally thought you would, and potentially end up with a paperweight of a car.

B)Invest the immense amount of time researching your butt off to do things once and do it right.

C) Pay a shop to do all the work for you, this will be more expensive then option A...potentially depending how many mistakes you make along the way.

D)Save up for a factory equipped turbo car as a good starting point. IE: (evo, dsm, etc)

Not being a dick, just pointing things out to you I wish someone did years ago before I dumped tons of money into my 1GA DSM instead of saving up for an evo like I have now.

I gota agree with that though....i'm a mechanics i work with cars every day and sometimes i have to use my imagination to make things fit and be reliable. I don't know your experience with cars but this is not an intake or exhaust bolt on thing... it's not a 1 day install unless you have done it before and there's always something wrong with the fitment. keep in mind this is not a bold on job, you have to be creative and custom make brakets, bend and cut things to make it work.

I appreciate you pointing them out I have plenty of time to research , but even with research I probably will go to the shop for a few things. Maybe not a compression test but I would possibly for a leak test or to have them check the water pump and timing belt etc . I just want ti build this car cuase at the end of the day when its all done I can say its def one of a kind . Its not just an evo

Don't have someone check your belt. It's really not that bad of a job and you should just change it if you turbo. You're only talking like 130 bucks. If you go to change it, let me or some of the guys on the forum know and we'll help you thru it
