It's not necessarily for the 4G94, it works with plenty of cars. If it works on the RA, I don't know.

As for the crank, don't worry about it, there's plenty of 500+ HP cars out there doing fine on stock crankshafts.

did you know that the lancers all share the same kind of ecu plugs.. it's all a matter of figureing out if the pinouts are the same

Yeah and the "figuring out the pinouts" kind of takes the plug and play convienence out of the EMS.

most likely very similar and would only require few pin changes, which can be done easily with a harness extension or something simililar, it would still be plug and play.

i would guess that the only changes are the pins for the mivec input and output.. it saves them money to go with one family of ecu's

OK, I can buy that theory. I don't know if they have an EMS in the works for the RA, but I would put money on it that they are. And it would make sense to wait for that versus using one that you would have to rig up. Now if the RA had no aftermarket support I would say go for it but thats not the case.

I hope you know what you're getting yourself into. Plus, if you drive a ralliart, you have a totally different motor.

The basemaps are for the 3g Eclipse, unless AEM has release a 4g94 specific one in the long time I've been away. All the boxes are the same, the only differences are the harnesses. Most people looking to put an EMS on a car that doesn't have one built for it will buy the Honda Civic (I believe it's 1010) box and splice the wires to their needs. That being said you may have the same harnesses as us, but I wouldn't bank on it. And again...know what you're getting into when you purchase a standalone ECU.

you should also make sure that what ever you buy will be compatible with the mivec system. i only bring it up cuz i believe some versions of vtec didn't work with the apexi vafc so chances might be that what's out might not work with mivec, including the EMS. but i don't know...

AEM sells a generic one that you can wire up yourself..

i check the plugs on the lancer oz / ra / evo and they are pretty much the same physically, the evo has an extra plug that is no on th oz / ra
