The DSM guys always use copper plugs. Forget why but I'll look into it. I think they run colder to avoid detonation issues...could be (probably) wrong though.

You should go a heat range or two colder than your stock plugs.

Check to see if your stock plug # comes in a colder range. If it doesn't then you will have to cross reference for one that is compatible.

But you'll want too make sure the electrode isn't too long or you'll hit the piston tops.

I'm assuming your stock plugs are probably a heat range five, you'll want to go with a heat range seven.

You don't really want to go any colder than that for a street car because you'll have fouling problems if you do.

Unless of course your running INSANE amounts of BOOST!

Think copper gives a better spark, only reason to use platinum is that it doesn't get corroded. You have to change copper plugs every 10k miles or so!

Why not take the numbers from the back of the owner's manual, take 'em to your shop and ask 'em to hook you up? I did that no problem when I bought my plugs.

Or you could just take the spark plug out of your motor and look at it.

if you are running 50-100 hp more than stock go 1 step colder. if you are running more than 100 go 2 steps colder. you can also try denso iriduim plugs.
