Ummm it is ready to go out of the box for 2799. All you need is 2 more exhaust gaskets for the downpipe making a total of 3 to make up the shortness. So that makes it $2801. A far cry from 4k.

A customer of ours sent me a dyno once of that kit... said he liked it but after dyno wished he had bought RRM. Dyno'd at 165whp and 172wtq on a 5 speed. I'm not for sure on the boost but i believe it was 6psi for the intercooled kit he got. That kindof sucks as the RRM AUTOMATIC NON-intercooled put more down on 5psi than that did.

For a starting platform it would be a great value if you stopped there. If you wanted more and started tuning/upgrading then your going to start shelling out some cash. Also you take the chance of blowing your motor... unless your paying for a shop to tune and that could get real expensive. Why not just buy a kit that is proven... has proven upgrades... and requires no tuning? Don't get me wrong saving cash is great but you get what you pay for in my opinion.

Also if you have problems or issues who is going to help you... what kindof customer support do they offer. Ever try calling them? I have and couldn't get anyone. Then emailing... took them a few days to reply. What good is that if my car is torn apart and i need it back? Screw that!

Well I'm not going to argue about it. I know what I know and money talks.

t-25 and a turbo specialties BOV (I think that was the name of the blow off valve). Never heard of it myself it is obnoxious, gets a lot of looks. As far as #'s well unless the weather goes to pot on June 5th we will be at Rock Falls wisconsin for sport compact day, maybe get a slip or two.

I know a guy with the TSI kit and he spent a whoooooole lot of money and even more TIME getting it installed. Not worth it at all, get RRM.

Ahhh... a T-25 explains the lower power output than the RRM kit. They use the BIG T-28. there is over 150cfm difference between the two. Thus the power/boost ratios are less with the TSI kit.

Good luck at the track... should do alright i'd imagine. High 14's to low 15's id say.

Wink

I've had the RRM turbo kit and I've installed the TSI turbo kit on other lancer's, granted the TSI kit is cheaper..keep in mind that that exactly what it is '' CHEAP"... I would definitely recommend the RRM turbo kit...expensive, but quality materials...and not to mention the kit came with all the materials needed for installation..Tsi kit require's alot of Fabrication.

Well it ran 15.2 on the best run. I wasn't there because I was planning on saturday and it was rained out so he went sunday by himself. I guess it was just one giant burnout, zero traction, 80 degree day. Not a happy camper. Better traction on the street. I doubt he wants me to advertise that time but it is what it is and you all are number hungry.

That's good from the sound of it though... with traction he'd probably edge into the 14's. I was pulling 14.5's consistant at 5psi non-intercooled though. I'm probably a little better at the launch than he is At 9psi non-intercooled i did my best of 13.8! I seriously need to get back to the track but i keep upgrading and tuning and etc...

At least my lack of track time has paid off for the other lancer owners that go RRM. The more i play the faster they can go!

I'm curious if you know what psi he's boosting and if you could tell us of any install difficulties/tuning issues. I've been hearing bad things in that area and i'd like to know if they are true... did you have to custom fab anything to get the kit to fit right?
