Question What Is The Reason

Ok i keep noticing every one goes with sri why and what is the gain or loss???

Short ram, eh? Well, the primary benefit is increased airflow, without the higher risk of water ingestion you could have with a full cold air setup.

Typically, with an intake of any type, you lose a bit of low down torque, but as a trade off, you gain a couple of high-RPM horsepower.

Let me put it this way, if you like rocket starts but generally drive under 80MPH, you won't be horribly impressed. Of course, there is always the cool noise an open element intake makes.

i am running a full cai from aem and i am very happy with hp gain and it sounds awesome

actually the reason ppl are (seeming) to go with SRI is b.c they are automatics..... the CAIs only fit 5-Speed. So thats the difference. there are a lot of threads on Cold Air Intakes for Autos just do a search.
