Yeah i bought one just like it down here in san antonio its allright but i changed out the filter to a hks style for more airflow. works good

 

it'll do the job, just buy a bigger filter. the biggest one i seen so far is rrm's

How hard is it to install.

 

It will take at the most 12 to 15 minutes.

 

i bought one like it before. it sucks and added no power and only made noise. dont get it.

 

WRONG, any intake will give you more then that stock POS, u seen the stock intake or maybe ur blind, its FLAT and the intake tube is like 1 inch wide inside plus that god awfull filter is total crap. anyway that big intake will work fine, i got a CAI its only a few bucks more then that one and it goes into ur bumper and fits like a glove...

 

RIGHT, it adds a minimal amount of power for the noise it adds. might as well weld on a $30 ebay muffler.

lets see, spend 30 bucks and get 1 horsepower and lose intake warranty and put up with mitsubishi, or spend zero and keep warranty.

My intake that i bought was so much trouble, it would always fall off because it sucked and the filter was crap.

where can I buy a HKS filter end??? I have an AEM one right now but I think I blew too much air through it with the air compressor (i know it said not too) and bent the fins too much.

anyway noob or no noob if ur so stressed over ur warranty u shouldnt even mod at all cuz almost anything u do can void something....

 

i had one of these .. then changed to an AEM CAI and am much happier with the CAI.

the SRI isn't BAD .. my opinion is that its up to par with every other SRI out there for the lancer. cai IMHO is the way to go

 

the CAI makes a nice noise IMO not anything like a fart can...
