I started having an idleing problem and found that an injector seal is bad. I heard an air leak sound and sprayed carb&choke cleaner at all of the connections and heard a big change at an injector seal.

I changed the seal and its back to normal. I must have pinched it when I installed my injectors. One was actually broke. Oh, by the way it was pretty chilly here tonight (50 degrees) and my car feels like a rocket. It actually feels like a DOHC 6, alot of high rpm power and good mid range.

A cracked seal? Are you talking about the seal that goes into the fuel rail or the IM?

so far no problems with my car...everything running great ....i already put in over 3000 miles...and have been ripping da car all over long island, queens, and brooklyn....car pulls soon as i touched da gas....Stumpy221 and evo/wrx owners can vouch for me as i have given them rides...and they are impressed how my lancer is running...

Yeah one of mine leaked too. It wasnt cracked though. It seemed like it was shrunk. It's a $5 part at the dealer here. I am going to replace all 4 of them. What injectors are you guys using for the SDS?

310 cc venoms ! but they are a little longer than the stock ones ! i found a gasket leak at the front of my cat that could be a problem and a crack in my injector seal that goes in the intake ! could that make my car rum soooo rich it wouldt even run ? and i have to ask ross what if i run my sds without my cat what will happen ? i havent done it i was wondering. one thing though when it was running that thing was like a totally different motor ! and i only went to 5 lbs of boost and i think it goes to 9 to 11

When you installed your injectors, did the seals that go into the intake manifold seat all the way against the black part of the injector, or did they sit at the lower part of the nipple, in the recessed groove?
