Another turbo Question

I was thinking about putting at the most 8 psi on my 2002 OZ
I would upgrade the internals, pistons.
Should I even bother with rods? if I'm not going to run high boost?

There were few turbo kits I have seen, the most impressive RRM but for some $$$.
Which one is ok good, any pros, cons?
HELP!
Turbo Specialties Extreme Package Turbo kit Engine Model: Mitsubishi Lancer 1.8 4G93 W/T25 BB Turbo
Garett Turbo w/ Internal Wastegate, High Nickel Composite Cast Exhaust Manifold, Down Pipe, Fuel Pressure Regulator, Map Unit (Black Box), Oil Return Line and Fitting, Air Filter w/ piping, Injection Control Unit w/ Turbo Timer, Injector Interface Block w/ Injectors, Blow Off Valve, High Flow Intercooler w/ mounting hardware, pressure tubes, rubber hose connections and clamps.
OR
RRM Non - Intercooled Turbo Kit The first kit is a little bit cheaper and probably can put out more power out of the turbo itself. I'm just really confused what I want.

Well RRM's kit is proven. I have had mine ine for over 15000 miles, no big problems (just a simple wastegate exhaust leak). I believe Rob said that RRM kits have had well over 100,000 miles with no problems that weren't self induced (IE: Running over the recommended boost, improper install etc). The other kit you mentioned, there is a guy on the forums here that is running it, RyanBush I think is his user ID. I know he said the instructions sucked, and that he had to buy get some extra parts. It's all about what you want as far as that goes. If you want proven quality, then RRM is well worth the money. If you want a cheaper alternative, go with the other kit.

As far as needing rods.. If you got the money, do them when you do the pistons, that's the best time to do it, and it will be worth it. You might get tired of 8psi, I know you said that is what you wanted to run. But trust me, your right foot always wants more power. Just food for thought.

That first kit was for a 1.8L 4G93. The 02-03 US Lancer is a 2.0L 4G94. Just an FYI.
I would play it safe with FI and go with RRM. Save your money and get the best for your car.

The first kit is also for 2.0L 4g93 dahhhh.
Anyway RRM sounds good, just shopping around trying to get some info.

As long as you dont push the other one too hard (over boost) then I dont see a problem with it. But I am just speculating. Some of the site guru's know way more about FI then me.

At 8 psi, aren't the pistons safe? I thought they were good til 10 or 11 psi. So theoretically, you wouldn't even need that, except to be bullet-proof. But if you're upgrading, why not do rods too - then you'd be set in the future.

You would need a boost controller to boost at 8psi wouldnt you?

Boe, already told me that boosting with 7psi is safe with their kit.
