2002 Lancer Stereo install help (multiple ????)

Ok I have a 2002 Lancer ES and Im installing an amp and subs but I still have the stock h/u.

I have the in line converter but not sure exactly how to install it. I run the wires to which rear speaker?

Where can I run the power wire thru the firewall? I can not find a hole anywhere.

Please be as specific as possible.
thanks

i could use a little more help than that, the firewall is the big issue, but the stock head unit is a major problem too.

thanks-alex

there are plenty of places to run wire thru the firewall. if you remove the kick panel and loosen up the wheel well cover on the drivers side u can see wires going thru that. uhm you can always drill a hole. if you drive an automatic, there is a hole where the clutch linkage should be...

heres how i did mine. on the passenger side; pull off all door sill plates and the in the fron on the passenger side pull back the carpet and if you look under almost as far up under the dash as you can go there is a rubber boot that goes through the firewall into the engine bay and you can poke a hole in it and push your wire through that, then just safely route it to the battery. plus if you want a good deck, im selling mine. the kenwood excelon Z919- mp3 deck, 3 pre amp outputs (frnt, rear, and non-fading), built in crossover, very nice deck. $250 plus shipping. but thats how i did it.

look in my profile for a pic of the passenger side area u will see a closed rubber boot poke a hole thru it and cover the wire like i did after doing so i put 4gauge thru fine as far as hu goes search headunit or installing headunit and you will find a walkthru that has been stuck with pics and how 2 do a replace

It seems to me as you really dont know much about mobile audio.....so not being mean or a critic, just a suggestion, id bring it to someone that knows what thier doing, they usualy charge like 20-30 dollars to run the wire, just ask the installer if you can watch and then next time you will know how to do it........

i agree... you may end up doing some irreversible damage if you tinker around with wiring and dont know what you are doing. If you need a reference, there is a wiring guide for the lancer available from the main page.

the lancer in my oppnion has to be the easiest car to install the stereo after you get the cover over the ac radio area off that was the only part confused me. Make sure you disconnect your ac cables under driver side and remmeber which one goes where it makes it way easier being able 2 move that piece outta the way for the hu install as for the amp it takes creativity (cough cough screw driver poken hole thru the rubber stuff) 2 get it thru the firewall after that just run it under side boards they pop out easily then take bnack seat out just pops straight up easy solution and fold down rear seat
