Q on Remote Entry system

Guys,

I have one more issue that I'm finishing. I've installed blackwidow base remote entry system in my Evo RS. Self installed along with pwr door lock acutator motors and its all working!

Except I want to customize it in that have the ignition on auto lock and ignition off auto unlock. Way I figure, I can use stock ignition aux pwr to relay on the pwr locks but how do I auto unlock based on ignition off?

I wanted to stay away from splicing into ignition harness but may have to OR is there On to off relay?

Anyone catching this?

if you are looking to use your unlock and lock feature to start your vehicle....bad idea....swap the setup for the current remote starter. Be safe, not sorry. Remote starters come with the tach lead, under hood safety switch, and wires to turn your heat and other goodies on.

If you do pursue what you are doing be careful on overloading those wires.

guys,

what I'm trying to do is have my aftermarket keyless entry system auto lock the doors when ignition ON and unlock whn igition OFF. I have evo RS w/o factory pwr lock or remote. Both were added myself and working. I had to install aftermarket lock actuators and then tied to remote entry system.

but now I was thinking if i connect it to aux pwr w/ relay maybe I can do this?

Get a decent Viper car alarm, and the dealer can program it to do that, mine does just what you want yours to do. With the ignition off, the doors unlock and only lock again when I arm the alarm. With the ignition on, the doors auto lock within 10 seconds because that's how I like it. With the ignition off I can reprogram it to arm the alarm and auto lock the doors if I want, and at a set time like say for example 5 minutes afterwards in case I forget to arm the alarm.
