fiberglass kick panel speaker pods

Just wondering if anyone has had fiberglass kickpanels enclosures made for the front speakers in there cars. I would like to have them done and was quoted around 400 for the kicks and just carpeting them. Also if you have had them done how is it on the drivers side with the pedals down there

I have it done and had all my interior shaved for custom kicks, as far as just a pricing for kicks, it depends on the speakers, and location of the panels, my whole job was 16,000 dollars, but with best quality equipment.

I wouldn't do it unless you don't plan on doing much driving I would instead opt for a custom door install kick panels=pain in the *** for manuals.

I have a manual and I got it done...its annoying cuz there's no footrest anymore, but you get used to it for a while...my install was $800 for just the labor, with vinyl for the stock look...btw I have CDT Audio High Definition components in the front running off an Autotek Stealth 900.4 amp

They are the boston rally components. I was going to go with pros but, i liked the way the rallys sounded when i listened to them btw....my car is an automatic so im not sure how much the room difference is, being that there is no clutch pedal

Pool, I have an auto too, I had my whole entire front of my car shaved(dead pedal, all the way through) then had my kicks into the car, not coming out of the car with plexi showcase. Try to be creative is all I could really recommend.

Its been a long time since originally posted, but i should be getting my kickpanels done this weekend. I did change from the boston rally components to the boston acoustics pro 6.53 3 way components.im gonna be running the a jl 300/2 to the 6 inch front woofers and a jl 300/4 to the mids and highs. Hopefully i can figure out how to post pics when i get them done.

Talk about overpowering speaker but holy **** the headroom your gonna have!! Good choice on the Pro's, they are worth it!! As far as room goes, I have Memphis 8" midbass driver in my kickpanels at one time WITH a manual, talk about no room, there was about 3/16" between the enclosure and the pedal but like CRX said you get used to it!!!

Yea it is alot of power i think. I just want to try to get the best sound out of the pros i can. When i get the kickpanels made they all will be running off the jl 300/2 until i get the 300/4. Unless they cut me a break on the amp this weekend when my car is there.

It just more toys and more weight your gonna have in the extra amp, see what you think of it with just the 300/2 on it first, actually i would get the 300/4 forst and amp the 6's and the 4/tweet seperately off the crossover!! That will give you much more flexibility when tuning the midbass to match the rest of your system...Just my 2cents...
