Alarm System

Well I am debating installing a security system by myself. I think i can do it but I am still wonderin a lil bit. My friend use to have a program called wire magic and it would have ur car and all the main wires and stuff. I was just wondering if anyone had anythin like that or anythin like it to make the install a little easier.

Installing an alarm system without alot of knowledge is not the best idea in my mind.. If you plan to do it make sure you have the diagram and some damn good instructions. I've seen some real messes undre the dash from people installing there own...

PAY TO GET IT DONE. You dont want to mess with the car wiring if you are not completely knowledgable in what you are doing. Search around local shops and im sure you will find a descent price. I just got a hornet alarm/remote start combo installed on my truck yesterday for 275.00 including installation.

Installing an alarm with any type of electrical expierence (DC Voltage), is not that much of a challenge. Especially with the correct wiring diagram. However, if you don't feel that you are able to do it, it isn't that much extra to have a dealer (DEI, Alpine, etc..), install it for you.

Wait for a free installation sale at circuit city or best buy. It's not that hard to do, but requires patience.
