I just keep spending money...

Alpine CDA-9847

MTX Thunder 202

and if I had a pair of wire cutters and some electrical tape I'd install the HU right now

EDIT : oh yeah, I bought the adapter so the CD-Changer input has RCA connections, so I can hook my laptop up to it and play DVD's too

I've got a little 10" MTX Thunder 6000 in my trunk. I'm not trying to make this thing hella loud, just want good clean sound.

Nice, but spend some money on tools man! LOL but dont use tape...ugh...get some heat shrink tubing. Looks much more professional than tape that gets all sticky when it's hot.

picked it up for 190, only reason I didn't have tools was I was out and away from my apartment for the day. I did go buy some tape (sorry ) and diagonal cutters, and put this sucker in. Options galore, I love it, adjustable freqs for bass and treble, tho I miss the mid adjustment that my kenwood had, reads CD-Text for me (even on some burned albums), 3 sets of rca outputs (front, rear, s/w), and when I get my amp hooked up to my sub, I'll use that old amp for the fronts, and be able to disable the internal amp on the HU.

Car Toys was having a huge tent sale up here, I think www.crutchfield.com has it for about $10-20 more

^I looked at that one, but couldn't justify the extra money for features I probly wouldn't use to much

I've got that last year's Alpine model, the CDA-9827 and it is the ****. Everything is adjustable, and easy to tune. Just I'd waited till this year to have picked up the flip-down face model for the same price that I paid for mine. Wish I had CarToys locations out here. I really miss those awesome sound rooms for each different types of items sold in the store (great retail setup). But I've got Tweeters here, they carry all electronics.
