amp issues

I was driving around recently and realized that my subs were not on at all for some reason. I pulled over to check and noticed that both my ground and battery cables going into the amp had pulled out. I shut the car off, reattached them, turned the car back on, but it wouldn't work. Did I fry the amp completely because they pulled out when the car was on? or is it something with a fuse that I can replace?

Yeah, just check all the fuses... amp, in-line, etc. Also make sure there is a proper ground for the amp. Scratch off paint where you ground the connection.

well i checked the three "25" fuses in the side of the amp, even went and replaced them, but it still didn't work. actually, i also have that connector thing in the front under the hood right before the power wire connects to the positive side of the battery. does that have a fuse in it as well? I haven't got a chance to check that yet and am currently blanking out on the proper name for it.

yeah

thats your inline fuse you should check that cause when the foltage tegs grounded it looks for the source and will head back to your battery to burn it up that fuse should blow allowing other circutry to be spared i put fuses in every + line i run in the car after 1 such incident

I troubleshooted pretty much everything imaginable and have come to the conclusion that I must have fried something inside the amp itself. Luckily I was covered by a 3 warranty so I'm sending it back to get fixed. Thanks for the help.

I highly doubt that you friend your amp just because the connections pulled out. They will probably just end the amp back to you and tell you to check your connections. The fuse at the battery would almost have to be blown if the connections pulled out. The remote shouldnt be blown if your radio still works, unless you have a fuse on that which is pretty rare considering that the radio is fused....
