I currently have a 12 Kicker CVR w/ 500 watts on it and it hits HARD. I have a 800 watt RMS amp coming, just b/c I am never satisfied.

Which would sound better?

(1) 12" Kicker CVR w/ 800 watts on it

(2) 12" Kicker CVRs w/ 400 watts a piece

(1) 12" Kicker L5 Solo-Baric w/ 800 watts

or Something Else All Together w/ 800 watts RMS

Just asking for anyones and everyones opinions. I have never heard any of these setups so i have nothing to judge. I will know what the (1) CVR w/ 800 watts next week, but i am always looking to expand.

 

2 12" CVRs I'd pick out of that list.

 

imo i never liked kicker audio. but for the option up top 2 12' would sound the best. but for loudness they would almost equal. i was told 2 woofers is equals to one woofer having the same amout of power.

 

i heard solo s are great im not much of an audio guy though

 

Forget the kicker and just go with the good stuff from directed like Diamond audio. www.diamondaudio.com range from 100-400.00 for a woofer depending on model two D3 subs would be perfect with there ported boxes and the 800rms amp. I am saving up for two 12" D3's and going to get the dual ported boxe and 2x 600watt amps or there 1500watt amp. Also diamond subs are dual 2 or dual 4 ohm, and amps are true wattage rated unlike other companys that say u get a certain amount and then find out u get half of what it says.

IMO I believe you would be very happy with a jl audio w6 version 2, with a 500/1 or a 1000/1 jl amp. I dont need as much bass so I am currently running a jl w3 version 2 and soon to be running a us amp 600x.
