fitment issues: yes. 6 1/2" speakers will not fit in stock locations. i had to drill new holes (somewhat precariously) in the doors. as far as the tweeter, well that you'll have to get creative. i already revealed too much of my secrets on mounting those

how big is the LS tweeter? is it 1" or 3/4"? I'm curious if aftermarket tweeters would fit in the bracket that is provided. let me know how it turns out.

IMO its not the ideal place to put tweeters since the sound they project is directional...the best would be to have them pointed directly at the listener (driver seat) with both tweeters as equidistant from the listener as possible...this traditionally would be in a kickpanel...this is all from an imaging standpoint, and may not be practical for everyone...but yea, nice job with the install

thanks for the compliment. however, i think you're wrong about the imaging. the imaging setup i have currently is almost completely perfect (as perfect as you can get in a car). the tweeters are at ear level, angled towards the cabin, and unobstructed. if they were in a kick panel, they would be obstructed by my body and the passenger's body. trust me they are plenty loud and the imaging is superb.

Well I can comment on the high end MBQuart's and they are VERY nice, will blow most speakers off the walls, soo loud. they however need a VERY nice HU(read dead head or 4v PO), and a NICE amp

i just notice that your sub is the same size and in the same box style as mine in the same location of my trunk. a single ten makes the perfect amount of bass for the lancer IMO, and i'll bet yours sounds even better with amped components. i really dig it.

it's awesome future plans call for more power for improved headroom, and MAYBE some rear speakers

did you put it on the right side of your boot for a reason..

i am completely uneducated in this area.. i woulda thought centre up against the back seat would be better more centralised or does it not make a difference whereit is in teh boot or is the right side better for some reson?

the main reason it is tucked away in that corner is so i can fit my hockey bag in the trunk also i like to have trunk space. i usually leave my right side seat down (my hockey sticks go there, and it makes the bass louder in the cabin) so that's why it's on the right side. also, bass is omnidirectional so it shouldn't matter much where you put it. putting it next to a "wall" (like in your house) in theory doubles the loudness. i've tried all different configurations, facing the trunk, facing the cabin, etc. and it doesn't make much difference, in fact that bass is much cleaner the way it is facing now.

answer your question?
