AMP life
I've gone thru quiet a few amps, it all depends on what you are using, some are better quality than others. Personally when I stick to one system for a period of time I like to get all new stuff because my old system just seems like it isn't that loud, so I'm sure you'd just switch things around before you even got to the point of your amp dying
Kicker ZR240 been under heavy abuse in various cars with various subs for almost 5 years.
I also still have my first amp, an old radioshack optimus, got that when I was 16, so its 8 years old. Havent used it lately though.
Amps that have blown, Boss AVA-1000, like 3 different Thump amps, PPI (dont remember model, this actually had visible flames) the old art series ones, California Profile, LA Sound, and a US acoustics. I think that is it for blown amps for me.
Depends on the manufacturer, for withstanding abuse, I havent treated the Kicker any different than the others.
