simple...measure the spot where you want to put them....find some tweeters that will fit there....drill a hole that size...and run the wires....

I love the sound from the location I have chosen, pretty easy to do also.

not that this makes a big difference, but it is recommended that the tweet be the same distance from your ear as the speaker, so I attached mine to the triangular panel covering the side mirrors wiring. My kit had a mounting adapter so its not flush like the others but it looks like it came stock

Go to Home Depot or Lowes and pick up a round/ circular cutting blade good for any drill. You might need an adaptor, unless it comes with it. Or... draw a circle and Exacto knife it. The plastic really isn't that thick anyways.

It is also recommended that the speakers and tweeters be as close together as possible and on the same plane (or angle). This would provide the best SQ, but the problem with that is, you would have to fiberglass your door panels to get optimal placement, and most of us don't want to go horribly crazy.

I think you should put them where the stock tweeters come in the EVO... at the bottom of the A-Pillar. Other places that they comenly come in vehicles: sail panel (little triangular piece on the door), top of the dash, by the door handles.

Just hook them up and have the float around loose for a while (maybe double-sided tape them in different places) until you can find where they sound best to you.

Will the 04+ A-pillars fit the 02-03 cars? My OZ came with the tweeters in the A-pillar.

They should, and even if they don't, it wouldn't be too hard to just drill some holes and set them in.

I thought alot about placement, and I suppose if you were to drive with your leg on the door panel that you may cover the tweeter but it would be very difficult to cover them and drive at the same time.

next time you sit in your lancer look at the area where I have the tweeters mounted and you will see that they are unobstructed and are very close to the woofer for great blending without being in your face. I do suggest however that you use tweeters that have an adjustable mount so that you can aim them.

im getting a 4 channel amp for the 6x9s and the 6 1/2s in the door, i know subs are heavy and expensive, so im trying to build a good sounding system without adding the extra weight and spend the extra $$
i know its not gonna sound too great sense the speakers arnt big but the 6x9s sound pretty good
