If you want sound deadening material I recommend Dynamat, I dynamatted my whole trunk, and the trunk lid. The sound is amazing but its really hard to completely do the trunk lid because there are hollow spots towards the back of it where it almost meets the back window. I dont know if you want to use that expanding foam because you have to know what your doing when you use that stuff, too much and you could buckle your trunk lid. IMO you should just dynamat the entire trunk, its going to rattle no matter what you do. Trust me

Shouldn't you protect the speakers with a grille? Last thing you need is to loose a speaker when you put something in your trunk.

I agree I am thinking of putting on dynamat then covering with carpet matched to the trunk. (to hid the silver lining).

i'm not to big on audio .. don't get me wrong i love a good bump in the trunk but it's not a main concern for me right now.. however..
alive307 you said your rear deck rattles.. are you talking about the speakers in the back seat. if you are you could try this..
go to home depot get a small rubber tube about 1/4" inner diameter or smaller and a bigger outer diameter hot glued the rubber tube to the outter rim of the speaker inbetween the speaker and plastic covering. i tried this on my old accord it worked great but i only had the car for 3 weeks after that so i don't know if it is a long term solution.
what do ya'll think ?
