ya, i've had it a bit, even though i've only got 500w of bass comin' from my trunk... SOMETIMES i've gotten a little rattle from things that have fallen into the little storage compartments on the door (silly? maybe... but worth checking), and other times, with real good bass, the little plastic fixtures/handles on the inside seem to be the source. see if it's the same for you: put like a bass mechanic CD in and wait for the rattle, then grab those plastic handle-thingies and see if it goes away. if it does, source isolated.

as far as a solution, i've yet to fix it, so... best of luck.

Smile rattle and hum

you know the small plastic things on the door panel near the window controls? the thing that looks like an ash tray but it isn't? that's what's been rattling on mine. when i push on it, it stops for a few days. peace.

Sound deaden your doors, I had the same problem until I put as much sound deadener as I could in the doors.

Listen to the lady. Remove this piece of plastic and the bottom piece of metal attached to it in all your doors that is the largest cause of rattles in your door panels. Remove the foam blocks from you door panels. That will solve any problem you will have with your doors rattling. The trunk and rear plastic panels behind your seats will be your greatest cause of distortion. Tighten down your spoiler as much as possible. My car is rattle free both inside and out from doing all this and dynamating my entire trunk.

I don't think you need to go as far as dynamating your entire door. First off, try opening and closing (completely) the window on each door and see if that affects the vibration. I have had two cars before have rattles in the window guide system. Otherwise listen very very carefully to where you think the vibration is coming from and you can spray in sound deadeners to hot spot problems like that. Much cheaper and still works.

I have a weirder one:

Not only do my doors rattle when I have the stock system at a good volume, whenever I close my doors or hit a sharp bump I get a loud metallic clank that sounds like an extreme version of the rattling. I have taken it to the dealership and they shrug their shoulders and tell me to just deal with it. I want to rip the doors off and find out what is making the noise sometimes. It drives me nuts on days when I want to listen to the car. Oh well, food for thought....

Opening the doors is a piece of cake. If you' definitely think it's in there then go for it. The only difficult part is putting the weatherstripping back on and it shouldn't take more than a couple minutes.

The plastic dash cover above my rear seats is definitely one of my main rattle sources, trying to decided how to best solve it...
Another huge problem I have are my tail lights, they create an insane buzz, it can't really be heard from the inside but outside it's sick, in the bad sense. Any suggestions for fixing that?
