This may be a dumb question but I'll ask it anyway. I have a Pioneer DEH-1700 headunit which includes very little features. I used the preamp outputs for my amp for the subs. The problem I have is distortion with bass from the speakers. I know that one way this could be solved is by getting an amp for the speakers (and a larger amp for the subs). However, I was wondering if I could get an equalizer/crossover to help solve this problem. That way concentrating bass to the subs and keeping the highs and mids with the speakers (since they are plently loud enough with increased treble and decreased bass). Nevermind. I have had more time to research and I have found out that the equalizer will do the trick. Thread can be erased!!! Sorry
