Planning on getting an Evo X. Also planning on removing a lot of stuff to save weight and the sub woofer is 1 thing I would like to remove. Would I have to re-wire anything to get any bass out of the interior speakers or will they have bass if I just disconnect the sub and leave the wires disconnected? I don't need sub woofer type bass but I also don't want all treble, high pitched sound and no bass at all.

Just buy an evo without premium sound system? They all dont have a subwoofer standard.

 

Every 2010 Evo GSR that I have seen for sale so far has the sub. It is looking like I would be hard pressed to find 1 without the sub.

 

Actually found 3 out of 19 without the sub, and only 1 of those had the tall rear spoiler, which I want. Possible but still very hard to find.

 

ive seen a few here recently but they all have subs :/
