Best Brand for System Components?!?
alpines always a big peoples favorite although it has no advantages agianst others in its class
i like kicker for the material they make their speakers out of, it sounds alot better than any other speakers ive heard... my whole system is kicker, once i heard it and compared it i stuck with it
zapco is like one of the best amps but youll never want to spend that much money for one
if u want to add more, add eclipse, they are real good but pricey like JL audio, and besides subs JL audio isnt any better than kicker or alpine

for a HU imo, eclipse followed very closely by alpine.. for components, i just got some morels in mine to replace my diamonds and i think they make the diamonds sound like crap, and for a sub, i dont really have to much other experiance then diamond, i have a single d6 12" and it rocks
where are all these pioneer votes coming from? :P
I heard some MBquart components... just amazing... Subs, JL, and i really liked nakamishi HU... but i dont have that money, so.. jvc. lol
I think I am going to have to repeat what some other members have said. Especially since I work at a car audio shop and listen to the products day in and day out. I have seen and heard 90% of the stuff that most people will buy, and alot of the stuff that most can't afford to buy.
If you want the best... money not being considered at all here... MB Quart speakers. I have yet to hear anything with the clarity and balance at all volume levels.
But! MB Quart may be on their way down as compared to what they were when the German's owned them. Now that they have been through the hands of Rockford, and ended up in the hands of MaxxSonic... We will just have to wait and see where they will end up from here.
Alpine makes good headunits and amps... but the speakers are not good enough to charge what they do for them.
JL Audio makes some great amps and subs, but the amps are way overpriced. Also, if you get a chance to listen to the XR or ZR component speakers... take full advantage of it. But, once again, the price tag sets them in the same range as MB Quart...
Now, if you want the best quality for the money... Memphis Audio is a good one to look into. The M-Class subs are some of the best I have heard for the price, and the M-Class speakers should actually cost about $50 more than they do.
But, as I have heard alot... buy what the installer has in their car...
Go to a high end shop, and find an installer or sales person that listens to the same type of music, and see what they have or want to get. Chances are, they know what sounds good.

And... Like I said in another thread, I have MB Quarts all around, about to be amped with a 12 in the trunk. So, maybe you just haven't gone to the right shop yet.
