yeah, sq will depend on the install. education in this field is key.
xtant makes great products. and i cant believe no one mentioned infinity. i've heard plenty of theyre stuff pro and personal install and its always exceptional.
though i'll vote for mtx. personally runnin that right now and am very happy.

I was planning to say something about Infinity... but I must say, I wasn't too impressed with their middle quality stuff. The low end is exceptional for the price, and the high end sound great, but mid just didn't sound all that good to me.

I have put together a few systems from one manufacturer but the best that I have heard is Crossfire audio. When I redo my system it will be all from Crossfire. Go to their site and check it out. Crossfirecaraudio.com

My system consists of Diamond Audio component speakers, Esotric E7 amp, JL sub and (until recently) a Denon made Rockford Platinum cd player. Absolutely crisp. I highly recommend Denon source units, and Diamond Audio's high end speakers.

When Diamond were selling the Eton speakers they were good. They went off on their own and started building their speakers in China and they weren't the same. The bad part is that they own the distribution rights for the Eton speakers in the US so the good speakers can't be sold here. The Denon deck is no longer sold by Rockford, that was limited business for a single model.

Also MTX and XTANT are the same products, XTANT was purchased after they went bancrupt. Infinity is a brabd name of JBL and the engineering is shared.

Most high end brands are nothing more than a new image for an existing product and not worth the extra money.

too many choices over too much of a price range. bang for the buck though (from your list), i'd have to say pioneer too.

I think its funny that NOBODY voted for Bazooka. I used to work for bazooka making the tubes in their factory. it was the worst job i ever had.

My favorite component drivers are Pioneer. I also prefer Pioneer head units.

My favorite subs and amps are audiobahn.

may favorite tweeters are audibahns too, but i would go with pioneers just to have all my speakers matching up front (im a brand *****)

I stopped by circuit city and all the guys were telling me that Polk Audio was at the top of the market right now for speakers and subs because of the special material they are made of is durable and gives great sound quality. Im thinking about going with polk audio for the speakers and subs and then a kicker amp and an eclipse navigation/dvd unit.

That is because Polk just got bought by Directed Electronics and became a cheap me too brand that they can make money on. Just like PPI, ADS and Orion already have.
