I'm pretty simple when it comes to car audio. I don't want a system, don't need an amp or subs. All I want is a good Mp3 decoding CD player/radio to replace the stock head unit. Any suggestions?

I have a panasonic mp3 player, I like it a lot. I also like the alpine one. I can get model numbers if you want.

 

yeah, if you can tell me the model number, I'd appreciate that a lot. No rush, though. That MP70 looks nice, like it won't skip at every crack in the road like my JVC changer did. In it's defense it was in an '89 Trans Am WS6, but they said it would last at leasta couple of years in that bouncy trunk.

 

pioneer deh-p7400mp

ive had it for about a year now, and i love it. 8 hours of mucsic on one cd is awesome. it also has a wonderful settings screen and equalizer.

 

I personally like Kenwood decks. But mine is two years old. When I looked at decks this weekend I was pretty disappointed - they are all so gaudy with all the lights and stuff. If I were to buy one today I would go with the Kenwood Excelon KDC-X569.

sorry but sony is wack....pioneer is da way to go.....i got da 840 mp premeir....

 

Not all Sony products are bad...only 90% of them, subwoofers, speakers, and amps.

I also have the pioneer 7400mp. pretty sweet HU! its got a ton of features and a nice display, my only dislike is the load time of mp3 discs. anyone else with a pioneer HU have this problem? i

 

yeah, i do, as a matter of fact. although really, taking into account the rest of the hu, its a pretty small issue.
