It would be more helpful to know what kind of amplifier(s) you have. And include the model number or total power rating in watts.

you have to tell us how your system is setup. what amp is powering the subs?

one solution: turn it down.

what exactly is happening? be very specific.

first guess would be something to the effect of an overload relay shutting off the amp. if the amp gets too hot and overpowered, it probably shuts off to protect itself. this means that you don't have it properly ventilated, are running too much power to it for too long a time, and are causing too much strain. sounds like the amp is shutting off because of overheating, if you were giving it too much juice it would blow a fuse which i guess isn't happening.

give specific examples of what is happening, and exactly how your system is set up. you said you have multiple amps, do you have a power distribution block? are you running the proper gauge ground wires? are the ground wires kept under 18"? are the ground contacts clean?

Wellz if you really dont know what the problem is you should take it back to someone who can actually LOOK at it. We can troubleshoot it all day long. But I recomend returning the H/U first and having them rewire all your sound.. tell em you dont like the way it looks.

Maybe this time they can get it right.
Also if you dont have a cap... get one. Also make sure you have enough air space between the amp and any other thing so it can keep cool. Quite often an amp will get hot/shut off,and or blow a fuse.

anybody else?
