If it keeps throwing up it must be sick, there is a store bought laser disk that has a little brush that cleans the laser, or if you are brave open it up and clean the laser with a cotton swab and a tiny bit of alcohol if that doesn't work laser is shot.

i believe eclipse has a year or 2 year warranty that they will replace it for free if its damaged/stolen, thats why they dont have detachable face plates and the security codes which they have done away with for the new models because they got ripped off

I have seen them at Circuit City, Wal-Mart, Target etc. In the electronics, Just ask for it they will point it out.

Here is an example of one of the disks

can grab them at walmart or anystore that has general merchandise. music stores and best buy sell them but they are normally more expensive. If you're electronically inclined, I would say open it up and take a cotton swab and alcohol to it.... takes me less then 5 minutes to clean the laser in 99% of DVD/CD players. (taking it apart, cleaning, and back together.)

Alpine or Kenwood will get you close to the quality you are used to with the Eclipse.

If you listen to CDs a lot.. Pioneer is a good choice without spending a lot of money. Apline and Kenwood good to but a little more money.
