People with systems in their Lancers?
Tight Pic. Yeah I'd sell that though(I say save BASS for SUVS) extra weight in this car is a bad idea. I personally removed as much weight from the car as I could and I think its made a big difference in pick-up. No passenger seating only a spare tire with some carpet covering over the bare seat wells in the back. Hopefully I get the chance to take off some more weight in the future. But first want want to finish my exhaust mods. I only put my subs in for when I feel like stunting now.
You don't need a big box..
My sources tell me that if you have subs, you can do something to your speakers to give you more space and less weight. Supposedly, the big magnet part of the Speaker isn't necessary. they say that it's all for show, the big magnet doesn't really do anything. that you can remove the magnet and take off a little weight from the subs, giving you more rooom, to fit'em into a smaller custom box. withouth sacrificing all the trunk space..
i don't know if it's true.. prove me wrong.. i don't car.. just inputting
ill prove u wrong. never mess with the sub structure unless your designing them. The subs were designed to perform with that magnet. taking them off messes with power handling and other stuff that i cant remember right now
Your cheaper speakers have large magnets for show. your more expensive speakers have large magnets because that is how they were designed. bigger magnets does not always mean the sub is better than one with a smaller magnet. but look at jlw7s, eclipse titaniums, and gz plutoniums. all have big freaking magnets and all kicks serous butt in spl and sq. Ive never owned none of those speakers but i have messed with them at a local shop with the exception with the plutoniums that are not availible to the general public in the US.
Besides If your trying to lose weight to make your car faster u dont cut the system in half, u take the system out.
