alpine vs infinity components

so i have a best buy gift card and i want to buy some components. I plan on putting them in the a pillars and will find some stock pillars somewhere so i should get silk domes, from what ive heard. I dont plan on getting a sub, but i might get an amp for the speakers.

Current set up
alpine 9835
pioneer 3 way front tsa1670r
pioneer 4 way in rear tsa1780r

best buy has 3 components
alpine type r spr17ls
infinity reference ref6010cs
rockford fosgate (they have metal tweeters so im not getting them)

im looking for the best speakers between those two, ive always heard infinity has the best speakers and i would really like to get those, but the specs arent as good. the frequecy of the alpine goes down to 35hz and the inifinty only to 53hz and without a sub, i see that as an important number. the sensitivity on the infinity is 92db an the alpine is 87db.

the speakers i have now are 90db and go down to 30 hz, does this mean that the components wont have as much bass and will be softer with the same amount of power?

I got Infinity's a couple weeks ago from best buy.....they were going to charge me 50 for each set to installing so i installed them myself. I didnt put new wiring in from the stock speakers i just spliced the old wires and connected them to the new speakers. But after installing them they had 1/4 of the bass my stock speakers had. Dont know if its the wiring or what. But the infinity's i installed have horrible bass.

^ It's because the RMS of the speakers are like 50 watts or something right? The stock stocks are rated like at 20 watts max, and the stock hu is design to push those well. The hu doesn't put out enough power to push such speakers well...

I have Infinity Kappa 50.7cs 5-1/4" and the 60 series. I hate them.

The tweeters are to bright and frankly I thought I was going deaf because of them. Of course I'm a hypochondriac so...

I would highly reccomend you amp. the components. Kinda pointless putting in components w/o an amp. Both are a good choice, infinities have weak midbass though. The best thing to do is go and listen to each system and see which fits your listening style.

but even with more power the speaker cannot hit the lower frequencies, and my head unit already puts out 26 rms

Sorry, didn't see your aftermarket HU... But yeah, no low tones because they're only 6.5" coxials. I mean, what are you expecting?

i dont think you understand my question, i have pioneer coaxials in the front that are rated down to 30 hz, i want to put in components, either the alpine or infinity, but neither one say they will go down that far, the alpine to 35hz and infinity to 53hz.

will i be losing some of my bass to gain better highs and mids? or just more so with the infinity? or will i not notice?

also, crutchfield does not have the type r on there website they have the type s though, are the 07 models coming out and i should wait?

you will not loose any bass realistically but you will loose some to your ears because the mids and highs will be much louder
