My Audio Setup 56k go take a nap
Actually all that stuff doesn't weigh much.. The back of the car hardly drooped down. And I still maintain a fair 20 mpg all city driving and considering my lead foot that aint so bad.
I wanted to face the subs in for many reasons. I eliminated a lot of vibrations that I would of gotten if my subs were pointed the other way(rattling bumper, trunk lid)( we dont have dynamat) and then I wanted to do it because I have never seen it before, or at least in my country. Finally it gives one hell of a back massage. Even when I am driving I can feel my seat vibrating, so imagine the people in the back...

Yeah you probably need dynamat. But my trunk doesent rattle much. I am about to buy some cans of expanding foam so i can hopefully stop my rear bumper from shaking. I also need to do something to keep my ugly licence plates from rattling.
for that i just took some really thick double sided sticky tape and put it in between the bumper and the plate. then put the screws back on, but just dont tighten them down all the way.
Will try the double stick tape stuff. First I need ew plates.
Small update, position of the amp. I am going to try and get the fiberglass cover painted then I will post the final pics...

Hey I know you guys havent heard from me in a while. Sorry, What had happend was that the guy doing my amp cover left town! With the cover, so after waiting so long for it it turned out to like crap so I built my own. I will post pics of it soon. And i dont have pics of the old one because I ripped it up.
Finally got Pics
Here are the pics of the new amp rack. I need to re do the black piece that is covering the amp. It came out a little to short and the plexi cracked when I was drilling it.
i know the car needs a wash..

For my next project I want to put 3 gauges where the radio used to be. Anyone know where i can get a decent set of gauges. I need volts, vacume and something else still not sure what.
I really dont want to spend a lot of money on them because they are there just for looks. Any help would be nice...

I have my subs facing the interior and not the trunk as well for everything he said, its a nice massage on ur neck and back and head when u lean back, as well as it sounds ALOT better (Well when your sitting in there) on the out side not so loud, but thats because instead of ur bass hitting ur trunk and escape its pushing the extra 3 or 4 feet in your car but I would advise to turn it facing ur cab if your seats dont fold down you dont have much of a choice, but you dont get bass in your car for everyone else to hear so you can just hear the rattles, you get it for you.
your amp rack looks pretty clean

Thanks, for the comments, I have redone the plexi and it looks real nice now. My next project are the gauges. I have goten the mitsu factory gauge set ( vac, volt, asd oil temp.) There not what i expected but they will do. I am going to start a new post on the lancer show and shine section, so expect something new in a few weeks..

The high end Clarion decks are actually pretty nice too (they do after all make McIntosh off the same line)...
