the screen is held up by a aluminum bracket that is screwed directly on to the trunk lid. Then when the fiberglass cover is on it helps to hold the screen.

I will post some pics if you want..

Good start! Now paint that "wood" trim and get some gauges in the original HU location. Probably a voltmeter would do you good there! Stock alternator?

Actually I wanted to do the gauges next. I know I need the volt meter but do you all have any other suggestions on what else to get. I want three guages. As for the "wood trim" if I were to paint it what color would be good, should I go with gunmetal. Yes still running the stock alt. but where I live I dont have many options..

For componets, that is on my list of things to do. I have some repairs that need to be done to the car before I do anything major. The amp it is a kenwood kac 7252. It is mounted in a new location and I am in the process of getting the amp rack done so I will put some pics up soon.

^Mine I had for less than a month and it always would overheat and turn off. On trips longer than 30 minutes, we'd have to deal with the on/off... Sony's car audio products have gone downhill and quick!

About the gauges, a voltemeter, a water temp, and a something else of your choosing would be good. Definitely paint the trim asap! Nothing says rice more than ugly trim pieces that don't match! LOL

Yeah I have heard that before. I guess I am lucky because my headunit hasn't cut off before. The only problem I see with the headunit is that it runs hot. maybe next time I'll get a alpine.

Almost done with the amp rack will post pics soon.

+1 for alpine

but yea, gun mettle or black would look good as far as your trim goes.

looks great though man, but if you dont mid me asking, why did you decide to face the subs inward? i just think it would look a lot better when you open up your trunk and you see your screen and your subs.
