My setup
My setup
Here it is, the A/V setup I have been working towards for about a year now. Although still incomplete, it seems that all of the components work well together. I still can't wait to put a 4-channel amp with it and get my fiberglass finished. But, for now, here's what I'm working with. All of the equipment was installed by me, mostly in the comfort of my apartment complex parking lot.
Headunit:
Alpine IVA-D310 DVD Player with 7" Touchscreen
Speakers:
Front:
MB Quart RCE-216 Installed as components
Rear:
MB Quart RCE-216 Installed as coaxials
Amplifier:
Alpine MRD-M605 600 RMSx1
Subwoofer:
Alpine Type-R 12"

I am working on a bit of fiberglass to go into the trunk so that I can get rid of that ugly square box. Hopefully by the end of the month, as funds allow.

Still trying to get used to all of the features. I've had it in for a little over a month and have yet to explore all of them. Still working on getting everything adjusted, but it sounds awesome. Like I said though, I can't wait to amp those components. We installed some in a Chevy Colorado and amped those at work... WOW. Hopefully it will only be another month or so.
I know the box needs to go. I've been working on a fiberglass box but had to put it on hold for a couple months. Now I'm thinking about just getting rid of the 12 and get 2 MBQuart 8s and put them under the rear deck.
I actually prefer the sound of the Type R in the .85 sealed box as opposed to any other box I put tried it in. It's not as loud and it doesn't go as low, but it sounds tighter and cleaner, and for stuff with alot of double kick it works about perfectly.
