How to secure sub box

How did you guys secure the subwoofer box, so it doesn't move around in the trunk?

In my last car, we cut a pattern for the floor of the trunk and bolted the sub box to it. It works well if you have a big box or a couple batteries that might drop through that cheap piece that covers the wheel, plus it doesn't come out unless you take the time to completely dismantle it. Although it doesn't work well if you're trying to keep your weight down.

From: houston tx,
how is the shape of the seat back in the trunk? you could velcro it to that, and it probably wouldn't go anywhere.

nah that won't work, the seats are too slanted and are inlayed from the trunk frame a bit.

and... for optimal bass production, you'd probably want the seats folded down anyway. so, no dice on velcroing to the seats

I pulled the carpet out and put my box in where i wanted it. I marked the corners with a pencil, took it out and stuck the hard, bristly side to the floor of the trunk. I sit my box on it, make sure its firmly there .. and since the box is carpeted, the bristles grab it and keep it from moving. I then folded my carpet in half and have it laying in there like that. I almost cut it to fit perfectly around the box, but am gonna wait and get a custom piece made that will fit.

velcro should be fine..unless u have an enclosure without carpeting on the outside of it.

Velcro Velcro Velcro.
It's the way to go if you're gonna remove the box for any reason.

Angle Iron and bolts are the way to go if the install is semi-permanent. (I reccomend rear deck as opposed to trunk floor, but that's really your call.)
