need a tad more help

This is kinda a thread I would normally consider lame but oh well. Im so noob with audio. My cd player that I wa complaining about in my other thread is junk. Im replacing it with a new HU. Im thinking Alpine. One thing I want is a ipod compatible one so I dont have to run a FM transmitter. Also one that somewhat matches a OZ's interior and looks good. Heres the Alpine ive come up with. My price range is $250-$300 so this fits the bill. any ideas on what ones or what you think would be great.

Also... I know I need a harness adapter. Is there a Lancer specific one or do I just get a Mitsu one? are all mitsu adapters the same basically?

link to one HU im looking at.

Go to circuit city and buy a harness. They are like 15 bucks. Just tell them what you drive and they will give you a harness. The HU looks good. ALPINE is a great brand.

That's one of the better Alpine head units on the market right now (without going DVD and such). Even if you decide not to go with that one, or they are offering a better deal on another, make sure that you stay with the CDA-series because they offer some better features and more expandability (more preouts with better voltage).

when i was shopping for a HU, i checked ebay and found the exact one i wanted brand new for $100 less. i used that extra cash for an ipod adaptor and sirius connect. all came factory sealed and works perfectly.

Sometimes used things are great. Other times not so. I like the satisfaction of opening a new item and installing it mysel for the first time. Although I will look around to see whats on ebay right now.
