That would be sweet.

But i guess i would lose a bunch of features if i went back to the aftermarket head unit. ie. the call display on the hands free phone, as well as the steering wheel volume and track selector.

Or is there a way to use the steering wheel controls through an aftermarket head unit?

I have talked with PAC on that issue too. Both, them and Metra, are coming out with a wire harness that will allow you to use the bluetooth and audio controls on the steering wheel. The average on these at my cost is $20-50. I'll buy them with the kits.

So does this mean Pioneer AVIC's in the Lancer

Would we lose our management features(lights, turn signals, alarm integration)? Have to use a different GPS antenna?

If you dont know yet no biggie just curious what info you have at the moment.

Everything would be as if it were stock. You wouldn't lose any features. PAC does a really good job at making sure of that. They had to do the same thing for the GM trucks. Especially the Silverado. Escalade was another.

I can get you the Pioneer AVIC radio/navi/dvd at cost + shipping too. Brand new with full warranty. I have 2 models.

AVICD3: $800
And for the big ballers - AVICZ2: $1700

was wondering if this is going to be a mount for the GTS trim or the DE, and ES?

would it be better to wait for the kit to come out and install a custom setup (amp sub speakers, stereo) or bring my car to the dealer and have them install the rockford package?

Custom system will destroy the Rockford stuff. The clearity across the board (lows, mids, and highs) will be better. Rockford is just a name. There is stuff out there that 10 times better and cheaper. For what they want, I could get you a better set-up.

If you also dont mind doing a little dirty work you can cut the factory harness off the stock head unit, and solder and tape it on to your aftermarket one. this is only if your car is not a lease of course.
