SSL amp installed!
After reading a bunch on threads and posts about the SSL's sound package, it seemed like it was not worth the time to install the package in a non-SSL car because the DIN-cable and wiring would be too much of a hassle. But for all you non-SSL guys who want a little better sound and can get a good deal on a SSL system, it can be done
I used this cable to go from the amp's din-cable to the RCAs in the back of my aftermarket headunit:

And if you are lucky and the previous owner didn't cut off the stock wire harness you can integrate this from your stock harness and match up the wires to the amp.

This wiring diagram depicts the color schemes of the wires coming out of the amp. You will need a total of 9 speaker wires to go from the amp to the stock harness (8 for the speakers and 1 for the remote wire).
**If you do not have tweeters, make sure to hook up your front speakers to the front tweeter wires on the amp's harness.
This cable made things a little easier. I picked it up at a local audio shop and they cut it off a spool to length (just make sure you get it long enough)

You will also need a power cable run from the battery to the amp and separate 2 conductor wire run to the rear:

Now, if you were like me, and the stock wiring harness was cut out of the car, it makes things a little more difficult, but this wiring diagram of the color scheme and where the wires go throughout the 02 lancer should make it a little easier. I think that this wiring diagram should work with other years of the lancers, but don't hold me to it.
Here are some pics of the amp installed under the passenger seat:
