In my OZ I have the six speaker factory setup. How hard can the factory speakers be pushed? I think they sound good for a stock setup + I have a kenwood Sirius deck... So I guess I just want to know how long have/did your stock speakers last until you blew them? haha

 

mine were blown when i got the car lol...but it was my brothers car before mine(long story) so idk how long it took

 

mine are still good i bought it used with 50k miles on it and ive put 5k on it since 3k with stock radio with the volume at 40-45 and with my kenwood at about 25 which seems to be louder than the stock radio at 45ish and they still sound good to me not distorted or anything

 

I still have the factory rear deck speakers on my Alpine deck...25w RMS. If they're blown, I can't tell! LOL I never sit back there, I drive!

 

I'm curious, did ALL the OZ's come with the six speakers?

 

I'm almost positive its an option, just because my buddy's 03 OZ only has the 4spkr system haha sucks for him

oh and thanks to you guys that replied... I have put about 4k on the stock hu turned up pretty far, and now about 2k with my kenwood deck.. And they still sound like the day I got the car

I'm counting tweeters, do you guys not have these? Maybe it was an 04+ thing?

In my my friend's 03, his pillars are just plain nothing on them...

Mine came with only 4 speakers but i changed the stock speakers to infinity component which came with 2 tweeters and i have them on the door near the speakers.

 

no mine doesn't have the tweeters in the pillars like that..oh well my memphis components are awesome

yeah man my stock speakers are actually pretty nice and im still running them in the front on a 50w deck -- i just got energy components for the back tho and i gotta say dont be scared by the name those things are crraaazzzyyy. but yeah my speakers havent blown or anything either and im at 120 000 km.

 

mine are also fine. The stock tweeters kinda suck though. They don't have enough High's in them i find. but the rest of the speakers arent that bad! they can be adjsuted nicely with a nice deck and put out a decent sound! Not bad for OEM base speakers!

 

You know, I was told my car had "upgraded speakers" this came from my best friend whom I purchase the car from, as this is what he was told. Is there any truth to that?

Or is the upgraded speakers the 6 speaker one we are talking about? I have 4 speakers + 2 tweeters, so I do have 6.

I have a DVD navigation system/dvd player with what seems to be an amp?? or maybe its the computer which processes the DVD NAV info, this is located under my seat.

I will say, these speakers stock or not, sounds amazing! Super loud! Great "bass" for stock speakers. Too bad its not daylight if it was I'd go outside and check.
