Installing D3 in '08 lancer

Hey guys, Im going to be putting a D3 in my 08 lancer ES with a sound package in it..... The installers said over the phone that they may not be able to get the sub working from the wireing form the D3 to the stock amp and sub. Does anyone know if this will work, has anyone put an aftermarket head unit into their cars already?? run into any problems??

i know MITAH had a harness available for the VIII's when they first came out with the SSL packages..

Try doing a search to see if MITAH makes anything yet for the 08's

MITAH would have something for the D3 to go with the rocksford fosgate system in the car?

It's a possibility..

Like I said above, when the evo8 first came out w/the SSL Sound Package (infinity sound system), MITAH came out with a harness to connect aftermarket headunits to the infinity sound system. Worked very well, I loved it lol..

pshhh lazy installers....
Basicly you just have to unplug the sub outputs from the original harness and splice a output converter there and 3 ft. rca's into the D3. Easy if you know what you're doing

Hi, I've purchased a DVD HeadUnit and the Metra Panel. But my audio installer seems to have trouble wiring the DVD HeadUnit back to my stock Rockford Fosgate amplifier.

Has any brothers/sisters who's driving a GTS managed to change to an aftermarket HU and wired it back to the factory 650watts amp? Please help....

Thanks in advance...

metra only makes one, so im pretty sure itll work. I think it feeds the amp with the same kind of wiring the standard stereo has. At least my ford did. If there are only 8 wires feeding the speakers, and your basic power, ground, illumination, amp cut on, and memory wires, the yes would probably be the answer. Maybe a dimmer wire too, so 8+7=15 wires in harness maybe? tell him to get a 70-7005 harness and compare where the wires make contact. If the power etc match up, itll probably work.

Maybe just let you know my problem. I've purchased a JVC HeadUnit - AVX805. The installer says that he has problems wiring up the headunit to the amplifier. So wat he did in the meantime is that now he wire the 4 speakers direct to the HeadUnit...bypassing the amplifier. It means that he has actually found the individual 4 speaker wires out from the stock headunit.
Currently now my speaker have sounds but sub dun work.

I suspect that I'll just need to wire the 4 speaker wires to the JVC Headunit...but he say cannot work coz need other wiring. I'm not sure also.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

The metra harness doesnt work with the rockford setup. The amp remote on wires dont line up...

It's not that hard to repin the harness to make a few of the wires match up. I've had to do it before on Audi's.
