Well, if they sound good to you, and you can keep them up and running, then you didn't get raped... but you probably could have done better for the cost.

sony sucks for car audio, at least compared to pioneer, alpine,JL quality wise; but if they sound good to you then thats all that matters right

I've got an 800w xplod 1/2/4 amp and I got it brand new for real cheap. Had it for over 2 years now and haven't had a problem.

Sony amps I like
Sony speakers I don't buy
Sony H/U's I don't like at all.

IMO

amp is great i have one puts out 100 watts at 2 ohms.. pushin over 1200 at 1ohm. sounds greast to me. i personally like Kenwood and JBL amps better.. but i have no regrets with the Xplod.

my 2 cents

i looked at the sony xplods, i didnt think that their bass was as good as other speakers, but not bad for the price that i saw them for. As a matter of fact, their outlet center had subs for like 60 bucks. cant beat that with a stick.

too many bad experiences to list. heard and seen it all as a former best buy employee. i avoid sony car anything, but their other stuff is usually pretty good.

go with pioneer. you'll be much happier with the result.

I like their head units and camcorders/cameras. But subwoofers and amplifiers are somewhat not soo good.

Never really been a big fan of sony stuff, except home stuff it's ok. THeir car audio line i think is crap. Well I shouldn't say crap. to each is his own. I understand people don't have all the same type of cash to blow on stereo's. I spent over $3000.00 on mine it's pretty dumb but I love high sound quality. I have heard some sony stuff that i was impressed with but it just all depends. I'm sure you'll make the right choice.

Same. Sony stuff just doesn't sound too clear or clean on the bumps to me.
